Help! Distance Learning…Now What?
Well, it looks like my district has made the decision to go distance learning. I understand this decision and fully support it! Now for the planning…I teach a self-contained early childhood classroom and distance learning is really difficult for the kids and for me. I have started a simple lesson plan format that I am going to use to plan for my live teaching. In my district we are teaching live for whole groups and individual/small groups to address their IEP goals. We also are pushing out pre-recorded videos and providing a choice board of other activities for play, fine motor, and movement. My plan is to provide each child with a binder of visuals for our whole group circle time and also for their individual/small group session. Here is the planning lesson plan that I have come up with. You can see the schedule of my activities as well. I will also be providing a visual schedule inside the binders for each student to use to help structure whole and small groups.
