Spring Themed Digital Lesson Plans for The Preschool Classroom

Spring is around the corner!  Hooray!!!  I am so happy to see this snow starting to melt and the temperatures rising.  It also renews my excitement for new ideas and activities to use in my preschool special education classroom remotely.  I love to create lots of lesson plans on learning about the new season.  My students are very young and do not remember what spring was like last year.  I use lots of target vocabulary to introduce the season of spring.  We practice these vocabulary by matching the vocabulary words, reading stories about the season of spring, playing BINGO with the spring vocabulary words, and going on an outdoor “spring hunt.”  I use photographs to show the kids what the changes in the weather look like.  Keep reading for a list of ideas!   Click on the bingo card for your FREEBIE!

Another fun activity we have added to our circle time is dressing the boy or girl for the day.  We have been dressing the boy or girl based on the winter weather, but now we are looking at dressing for spring.  We talk about different types of weather we see and feel outside and different pieces of clothing we will need to wear.  I use boom cards to make it more interactive for my students, while also giving the students their own boy or girl to dress each day.
